Our ethos is all about having fun with textiles, breaking the rules, taking the time to find out what YOU love and embracing happy accidents.

Connecting with like-minded souls who speak your creative language and champion you.

It doesn't matter what stage you are at in your creative journey. You will fit right in if you have a passion for textiles and a curious mind. Our members include beginners, highly skilled embroiderers and artists from completely different disciplines, who are transferring their design skills to include textiles.

Using reclaimed fabric is encouraged, but there are no rules!... Oh, apart from being supportive, respectful and kind :)

A New Prompt every 6 weeks...

I upload video lessons on how I have used the prompt in my own work then invite you to play.

We then discuss and share ideas. Inspiring each other to ask "what if?"

All the prompt lessons and zooms are saved to form a whole library of inspiration.

Weekly Zoom calls

We meet once a week on Zoom (the times and days vary to suit everyone)  and chat about all things textiles.

The focus is loosely on the prompt but also about exhibitions, books, your own practice.

We laugh together, cheer each other on and get totally excited about experimenting with textiles!

Be you...

You can use the group however you want. Some members just watch the lessons and listen to the Zoom meetings like visual podcasts, others come to every Zoom and love the community side of it all. You could even use it as a technique library, to dip into when you need to, and ask questions as and when. Do whatever feels right for you, there are no rules!

Frequently asked questions

HOW LONG WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO THE CONTENT?

With my No Rules Textile Society membership, there is a huge amount of content but you will only have access to it whilst you are a member. Membership is recurring every month, you can cancel anytime.

CAN I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AT ANY TIME?

Yes, of course. Simply go to your member profile and you are in full control of your membership.

CAN I DOWNLOAD THE VIDEOS?

It is not currently possible to download the videos. Many students find it really useful to watch large sections at a time then make notes. My videos are really meant to inspire and fire up your imagination so that you are in the mood to play and invent in your own style. Do contact me if this poses a problem and we can discuss further strategies!

ARE THE ZOOM MEETINGS RECORDED

Yes, all the Zooms are recorded 
(unless there are only a few of us or I forget to press record). You are free to watch the recording at your leisure.

AM I ALLOWED TO USE YOUR CONTENT FOR MY OWN TEACHING?
